Privacy Policy

Your Secure, Private, and Local Image Editor

Effective Date: July 19, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to SafeShot. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure image editing experience. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding your data when you use the SafeShot web application and the SafeShot Android mobile application.

SafeShot is designed with privacy as its core foundation. We believe your images belong to you, and our application operates under the strict principle of complete local, on-device data processing.

2. Data Collection and Local Processing

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share your personal images or files.

All core functionalities of SafeShot—including compressing, resizing, cropping, flipping, removing backgrounds, and applying filters—are executed entirely locally on your device (in your web browser or within the mobile app sandbox) using advanced local processing technology. Your files are never uploaded to any cloud servers, external databases, or third-party storage providers. We do not have access to your photos.

3. Third-Party Services, Analytics, and Advertising

Website Analytics: We use Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics to understand basic, anonymized usage metrics (such as page views, button clicks, and general tool usage) to help us improve the platform. This data does not contain any of your images, passcodes, or personally identifiable information.

Advertising: We use third-party advertising companies, including Google AdSense, to serve ads. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.

4. GDPR & European Privacy Rights

For users residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws apply. Since all image files are processed strictly on-device, we do not act as a data processor or controller for your personal images. However, for browser cookies and anonymous analytical identifiers collected by third parties (Google Analytics and AdSense), the details are as follows:

  • Legal Basis: We process analytical and advertising cookies based on your explicit consent.
  • Your Rights: You have the right to access, rectify, or erase the personal identifier data collected by cookies, restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or opting out of Google's tracking cookies.
  • Exercising Rights: To exercise your GDPR rights regarding the identifiers, contact us at androixltd@gmail.com.
  • Supervisory Authority: You have the right to file a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

5. CCPA/CPRA & US State Privacy Rights

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state laws in Colorado (CPA), Virginia (VCDPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA), residents have specific rights regarding their personal information:

  • No Sale or Sharing of Photos: We do not collect, sell, or share your photos or personal image files.
  • Categories of Information Collected: We collect only internet or electronic network activity identifiers (such as cookie IDs and IP addresses) collected automatically via Google Analytics and Google AdSense for analytics and personalized advertising.
  • Right to Know & Access: You have the right to request access to the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you in the preceding 12 months.
  • Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of the personal information collected, subject to legal exemptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Share: You have the right to opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information (specifically targeted advertising cookies) by visiting Google's Ad Settings or utilizing Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals in your browser.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you in any way for exercising your privacy rights.

6. Data Security

Because SafeShot operates 100% locally on your device (in the browser or mobile sandbox), the security of your images is governed by your device's built-in security mechanisms, app storage permissions, and browser local storage security. For mobile vault files, they are encrypted locally on-device using AES-256 with keys derived from your passcode. We encourage you to maintain appropriate device-level security measures to protect your local files.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Our application does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since no image data or personal registration is transmitted from your device, SafeShot is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar global children's safety regulations.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our application features, mobile vault updates, or global regulatory requirements. Any modifications will be published on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
